Adele Tearfully Reschedules Las Vegas Residency
Adele is rolling around in a deep, dark place after she made the emotional announcement that she would be delaying her upcoming Las Vegas, Nevada residency – a day before it was supposed to kick off.
Adele’s series of shows that would have taken place at the 4 200-seated Colosseum at the Caesars Palace Hotel, starting today, Friday, 21 January, with the final show on 16 April.
Tickets had already been on sale since December, and fans wasted no time buying up all 100 000 tickets in a matter of six hours.
In a sombre video posted to her social media accounts on Thursday, 20 January, the “Hello” hitmaker apologised before explaining that most of the show’s personnel have contracted the coronavirus (COVID-19), making it impossible to deliver on time.
“I’m so sorry, but my show ain’t ready.” she started.
“I’m gutted … We’ve tried absolutely everything we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you, but we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and [COVID-19],” she said in a shaky voice.
In the video’s caption, the 33-year-old songstress simply wrote: “All dates will be rescheduled. More info coming soon.”
